Accuracy matters to us. When we get something wrong, we fix it and tell readers what changed.
What we correct
- Corrections: errors of fact, such as a wrong name, date, figure, title or quote.
- Clarifications: statements that were accurate but unclear or missing important context.
- Updates: new information in a developing story.
How we correct
We fix the error in the story and add a dated note explaining what was corrected, for example: “Correction, October 25, 2026: An earlier version of this story misstated the date of the hearing. It was held on Tuesday.” We do not silently change facts. Minor spelling or grammar fixes that do not change meaning may be made without a note.
If a story is found to be fundamentally flawed, we may remove it and replace it with an editor’s note explaining why.
How to request a correction
Email corrections@amazingnewsmedia.com or use our contact page. Please include:
- The link to the story.
- The statement you believe is incorrect.
- What you believe is correct, with a link or document that supports it.
An editor reviews every request against the sources, and our Editor-in-Chief, Grant Whitfield, signs off on every correction. We aim to respond within a few business days, and we will tell you what action, if any, we took.
