Our commitment
Amazing News Media wants every reader to be able to find, read and understand our journalism, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology.
The standard we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We have not had the site formally audited by a third party, so we do not claim full conformance. This statement describes what we do today and how to tell us when something does not work.
What we do
- Each page has a single main heading and a logical heading order, so assistive technology can move through stories section by section.
- Article photos carry descriptive alternative text and a visible credit line.
- Text and background colors are chosen for readable contrast, and text can be enlarged with standard browser zoom without losing content.
- Pages adapt to small screens without sideways scrolling.
- Links use descriptive text, and source links in every story name the outlet they point to.
- The cookie banner and the contact form can be operated with a keyboard, and form fields have visible labels.
- Every story is available as text. We do not publish news only as images or video.
Known limitations
- Some third-party pages we link to as sources are outside our control and may not be accessible.
- Older browsers and assistive technology versions may not support every feature of the site.
We review the site when we change its design and fix barriers we find.
Report a barrier
If you have trouble using any part of the site, email editor@amazingnewsmedia.com with “Accessibility” in the subject line, or use our contact page. Tell us the page address and what went wrong. If you need a story in a different format, we will try to provide it. We aim to reply within a few business days.
