Amazing News Media accepts guest posts and contributed articles from writers who can explain U.S. news clearly and accurately for readers across the United States. This page covers what we publish, how contributed and sponsored articles are labeled, and how to pitch.
Why write for Amazing News Media
- A publication covering news across the United States, in U.S., Business, Technology, Entertainment, Science and Sports, with a named editor and a published Editorial Process.
- Every contributed article is edited before publication and carries the contributor’s byline and a short bio.
- Clear labeling, so your work sits on a site readers and other publishers can trust.
Challenges in news coverage we want help with
- Context that daily headlines skip. Many stories move fast and leave readers without the background. We want explainers that say what happened before, why it matters and what to watch next.
- Specialist knowledge. Business, technology and science stories often turn on technical details. Contributors with real working experience can explain those details without jargon.
- Information overload. Readers face more sources than they can check. Articles that compare what credible sources say, and link to them, help readers judge a story for themselves.
Content gaps we want filled
- Business: U.S. small-business explainers on tariffs, interest rates, hiring and supply chains.
- Technology: plain-language guides to AI tools, privacy settings, cybersecurity basics and consumer tech decisions.
- Science: research from U.S. universities, agencies and labs explained for non-specialists, with a link to the original study.
- Sports and entertainment: analysis and history pieces rather than rumor or gossip.
- U.S.: background explainers on how federal and state institutions, laws and agencies work.
Our readers
Our readers are adults across the United States who follow several sections of the news and want to understand a story, not only hear about it. They value sources they can check, plain language and articles that respect their time.
Writing style
- Clear, neutral and factual, in American English. Write for a smart reader who is not a specialist.
- Short paragraphs, descriptive subheadings and a direct opening paragraph that says what the article is about.
- No promotional language, hype or unsupported claims.
Formats that work
- Explainers (“What X means for Y”)
- How-to guides with practical steps
- Analysis that compares sources or data
- Lists, when each item carries real information
- Expert perspective pieces, labeled as opinion
What readers engage with
- A headline that states the subject plainly.
- Specific examples, figures and dates, each traceable to a source.
- A closing section that tells readers what to watch for or what to do next.
Guidelines
- Length: 700 to 1,500 words.
- Original and unpublished. No copied, spun or unedited AI-generated text. Tell us if you used AI tools.
- Cite at least two credible sources and link to them. Quotes only when verbatim from a cited source.
- Up to two links to your own site or a client site, placed where they help the reader. We remove links that do not.
- Images only if you hold the rights, with credit and license.
- No guarantees of results, misleading claims or exaggerated promises.
- Topics we do not accept: non-U.S. or international affairs (we cover U.S. news only), gambling, adult content, weapons sales, cryptocurrency offerings, unapproved health products, and personal medical, legal or financial advice.
- We edit for accuracy, clarity, length and style, and we may decline any submission.
Disclosure and sponsored content
Contributed articles carry the contributor’s byline. If an article is paid for, written on behalf of a company, or includes links a company paid for, it is labeled “Sponsored” at the top, it includes a disclosure line, and those links use rel="sponsored", as described in our Advertising and Sponsored Content Policy. Sponsored articles are not published in our News section. Please disclose any relationship with companies or products you mention.
How to pitch
Email editor@amazingnewsmedia.com with “Contributor Pitch” in the subject line. Include a two or three sentence summary of your idea, the section it fits, whether the article is sponsored, and links to examples of your writing. We reply to every pitch that fits our sections.
